Hastings News
Thursday evening at Hastings was a perfect night for racing, mostly sunny and warm but the crowd was once again a little sparse. The featured 7 th race was won by Mr and Mrs Henry Forstbauer’ s, Rainbowsinthewood under a perfect ride from Richard Hamel. e yesterday afternoon and he informs me that himself and Director of Racing Paul Ryneveld are well underway for planning for the 2011 season at Hastings with racing dates and a new revised Stake Schedule for 2011 with some every interesting new ideas. Raj hoped to have his schedule of racing and stakes schedule ready for the next Racing Management Committee meeting in mid September. Read More »

News Flash
of the Horse Racing Management Committee and yesterday I met with Minister Rich Coleman, who committed to trying to find additional funds for horse racing in our province for this year and beyond that is to be totally used for Purse Pool enhancements. To say the least, I was overwhelmed with such great news and asked when he might be able to confirm. He replied that he expected to hear shortly. Read More »
